HIV and Hep C Clinical Preceptorship Program

HIV and Hep C Clinical Preceptorship Program

STEPS coordinates half or full day clinical preceptorships for Saskatchewan physicians and nurse practitioners interested in treating and managing patients living with HIV and/or Hepatitis C. These preceptorships offer participants the opportunity to shadow experienced clinicians as they deliver STBBI patient care.

If you're interested in participating, please fill out the HIV/Hep C Clinical Preceptorship request form

Note: Limited number of opportunities are available and participants are prioritized based on the following criteria:
1) Currently (or interested) in prescribing HIV and/or Hep C medication treatment.
2) Currently (or will) be working in a clinic with a moderate or high volume of patients who require STBBI care.
3) Have received STBBI medical education from the STEPS program.

If you're interested in becoming a mentor (physicians and nurse practitioners who work in HIV/Hep C clinics), please email us at STEPS@usask.ca

Note: Completion of a HIV or Hep C Clinical Preceptorship is not required to prescribe HIV or Hepatitis C medications, or to become a Designated ARV or DAA Prescriber.
