HIV and Hep C Clinical Preceptorship Program

The STEPS Program provides additional support to healthcare providers in Saskatchewan who are interested in prescribing medication for the treatment of HIV and/or Hepatitis C.

HIV and Hep C Clinical Preceptorship Program

STEPS coordinates half or full day clinical preceptorships for Saskatchewan physicians and nurse practitioners interested in treating and managing patients living with HIV and/or Hep C. This is an opportunity for these healthcare providers to shadow a clinician provide STBBI patient care.

At this time, we are able to offer these opportunities in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert, and North Battleford.

If you're interested in participating, please fill out the HIV/Hep C Clinical Preceptorship request form

Note: Limited number of opportunities are available and participants are prioritized based on the following criteria:
1) Currently (or interested) in prescribing HIV and/or Hep C medication treatment.
2) Currently (or will) be working in a clinic with a moderate or high volume of patients who require STBBI care.
3) Have received STBBI medical education from the STEPS program.

If you're interested in becoming a mentor (physicians and nurse practitioners who work in HIV/Hep C clinics), please email us at STEPS@usask.ca
