HIV Treatment Approaches in 2023: A State of the Art Case-Based Update

Target Audience:
Family physicians, specialist physicians, medical resident, nurses, and nurse practitioners. All other allied healthcare professionals are encouraged to attend.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Review current treatment options and considerations for persons newly diagnosed with HIV.
  • Review current treatment options and considerations for persons living with HIV who are pregnant and/or of child-bearing potential.
  • Review considerations for managing switches from traditional oral antiretroviral therapy to newer long-acting injectable agents for stably-suppressed persons living with HIV.

Attending this presentation meets the education recommendation for physicians and nurse practitioners to be added to SK Drug Plan as a Designated ARV Prescriber for Saskatchewan
