Sponsorship Invitation
The University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine, Division of Continuing Medical Education (CME), is pleased to invite your organization to consider providing financial support for SCORE (Saskatchewan Conference of Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, and Emergency Care).
This educational activity will take place on April 9th, 2027, and is designed for Orthopedic Surgeons, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Family Physicians and Emergency Responders. The program will feature morning and afternoon plenary presentations and concurrent tracks across orthopedics, rehabilitation, and emergency medicine. Attendees can tailor their experience by choosing between a Rehabilitative, Surgical, or Front-Line care stream.
SCORE was co-developed with the Saskatchewan Orthopedic Association and was planned to achieve scientific integrity, objectivity and balance with the goal of supporting healthcare professionals in maintaining and enhancing their knowledge, skills, and practice.
At the heart of continuing professional development is a shared commitment to supporting healthcare professionals and, ultimately, improving patient care. We recognize that organizations who choose to support medical education often share this commitment and value opportunities to contribute to the ongoing development of the healthcare community in Saskatchewan.
Financial support from external organizations helps deliver high-quality educational programming and offset costs associated with the development and delivery of accredited activities. Support may contribute to expenses such as program development, educational materials, technical support, speaker fees, and other costs associated with providing the educational program. It may also help the CME maintain accessible registration fees for learners.
We welcome the opportunity to receive support from organizations that value continuing professional development and the important role it plays in supporting healthcare professionals and patient care in Saskatchewan.
Educational Independence
Educational activities seeking full accreditation are developed and delivered independently by the Scientific Planning Committee and the Division of Continuing Medical Education. Financial supporters do not influence the development, content, delivery, or evaluation of the educational activity.
Financial support is provided as an unrestricted educational grant and does not provide financial supporters with a role in determining educational content, learning objectives, speakers, or other elements of the accredited program. All recognition and supporter opportunities are provided in accordance with applicable accreditation requirements. Sponsorship opportunities and available recognition are outlined in the following pages.

What to Expect As a Sponsor
Supporting Accredited Continuing Professional Development
Financial support from organizations that value continuing professional development helps make accessible, high-quality educational opportunities possible for healthcare professionals in Saskatchewan. Accredited CPD activities must remain independent of commercial influence. The expectations below apply to financial support of accredited educational activities, regardless of learning format.
Accreditation Expectations
The Scientific Planning Committee (SPC) and the Division of Continuing Medical Education are responsible for the educational activity and its content. Educational content is developed independently and is not subject to sponsor review or approval. Financial supporters do not participate in planning or developing the accredited educational activity.
Financial supporters do not influence:
- Educational topics or learning objectives
- Selection of speakers or presenters
- Educational content or materials
- Delivery or scheduling of educational sessions
- Evaluation of the educational activity
Recognition and Engagement
Sponsor recognition and promotional activities remain clearly separate from accredited educational content:
- Sponsor branding is not associated with individual educational sessions or speakers.
- Product or service advertising is not permitted within accredited educational spaces.
- Promotional materials are limited to designated and approved sponsor areas.
- Any non-accredited networking or sponsor activities are clearly identified as optional and separate from the accredited program.
Protecting the Learning Environment
Financial support does not provide access to learner information or permission to collect or use participant information for promotional purposes without appropriate consent.
Sponsor representatives may participate in the sponsor and networking opportunities identified in the sponsorship package, but do not participate in the planning or delivery of accredited educational sessions.
These boundaries allow organizations to support CPD and engage appropriately with healthcare professionals while preserving the independence and integrity of accredited education.
